A full-service Industrial Design firm based in north Alabama, The Carter McGuyer Design Group, Inc. was launched in May of 2006. We design and develop products that are equal parts beautiful, functional and cost-efficient. Defining his work as clean, tailored and modern, Carter has received numerous accolades for his work, including the 2003 Gourmet Gold Award, 2004 Good Design Award, 2009 Housewares Design Award for “Best of the Best,” the 2009 Housewares Design Award for “Best in Show,” the 2013 Housewares Design Award for “Best in Category” two Red Dot Design Awards in 2016, a 2017, a 2018 two additional Red Dots in 2022, one in 2023, and 2024. Being named to Esquire Magazine’s “Top 25 Best Dressed Real Men” list and Southern Livings “75 Most Stylish Southerners” doesn’t have anything to do with his product design abilities, but it says something about his sense of style. Carter holds 57 patents and has brought more than 550+ products successfully to market. He has become a featured designer for Crate & Barrel and most recently, a design consultant for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
